She was predeceased by: her parents, Orvil William and Frances E. Haynes (Carr); her husband Arley V. Mattern; her son Robert R. Mattern; her grandson Robert R. II; and her siblings, Martha LeMasters, Viola Steidle, Betty Pelley, Robert, Gene, John, George, Ed, Mike and Paul "Dude" Haynes.

She is survived by: her granddaughter Britni Mattern (John Shaw) of Wheeling; her great grandchildren, Kayleicia, Kyleonna of Wheeling and John Robert; her brothers, David Haynes (Phyllis) of Moundsville and Charles Haynes (Diana) of Proctor; and her daughter-in-law Karen Mattern of Wheeling. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Marshall County Animal Shelter, 37 Animal Shelter Drive, Moundsville WV 26041.
