He is survived by: his wife Lydia Ann Pitcher Helmick; his children, Noi Helmick of Columbus, OH, Wayne Helmick Jr. (Patty) of Rapid City, SD, Tiffany "Belle" Meredith (Jimmy Kirk) of Westover, Diana Salentro (Freddie) of Shinnston and Darryl Helmick of Fairmont; and his brother Hayward Helmick (Carol) of Morgantown. He is also survived by six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren.
