She was predeceased by: her parents, Alma Tucker Price and Henry Price Jr. of Kannapolis, NC; her husband John C. Whitty; and her sister Jean Price Slaughter of Chapel Hill, NC. She is survived by: her children, Katherine (Kitty) of Stone Mountain, GA, Susannah Azzaro of Pittsburgh, PA and Page Borger (Paul) of Chagrin Falls, OH; her grandchildren, Alana, Joseph Azzaro, John, Jacob and Jade Borger; her nieces, Amy, Kathleen and Rachel; and her cousin Anna Nease.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to St. Thomas à Becket Episcopal Church, Morgantown, WV, the ASPCA, or the Roanoke Island Historical Association.
