A funeral service was held on Wednesday, April 9th 2025 at 8:00 PM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial was held on Thursday, April 10th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.

In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations in Rusty's memory to St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church, 1 Guthrie Lane, Morgantown, WV 26508, earmarked for the purchase of a wheelchair accessible van for the Wes Nugent family.
