He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert G. Darnell and Laura Bell Darnell. He is survived by: his wife Margaret Darnell; his children, Jerry Darnell (Dorothy), Bobbi Jo Stamper (Buck) and Cindy Darnell (Johnny May); his sister Sandy Miller (Tim); his son Douglas; and his siblings, Charles, Betty, James, Thomas, Roger'Pete' and Maggie.
Visitation was held on Monday, December 30th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Tuesday, December 31st 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Fred L. Jenkins Funeral Home (10 S High St, Morgantown, WV 26501). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, December 31st 2024 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
