He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Ashburn and Pauline Ashburn (Funk); his sister Alice Ann Ashburn Cogar of Morgantown, WV; his brother-in-law George Pocock of Mathews, VA; and his in-laws, Walter and Josie Goff of Lake Charles, LA..
He is survived by: his wife Barbara Goff Ashburn of Morgantown, WV; his children, Aaron Ashburn (Bev) of Harrisonburg, VA and April Cochran (Don) of Saint Peters, MO; his grandchildren, Cheyenne Rivera (Johnny) of Shenandoah, VA, Cody Ashburn of Harrisonburg, VA and Benjamin Cochran of Saint Peters, MO; his great grandchild Asher Rivera of Shenandoah, VA; his sisters, Linda Pocock of Mathews, VA and Brenda Cogar (Ed) of Fort Martin, WV; and his sister-in-law Patty Bucklew (Steve) of Morgantown, WV. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends.
