He was predeceased by: his parents, Camden Brown and Katherine Brown; and his wife Anna Lee Brown. He is survived by: his daughters, Mary Kay (Dennis Watson), Sandy (Norman Swann), Rebecca (Tom Tamasko) and Sue Ellen (Richard Mergl); his grandchildren, Amy Barnes, Meg Ryan Barnes (Emily Schon), Andrew (Jennifer Swann), Oliver (Socorro Lee), Ashley Thompson, Theresa Danielle (Henry Moody) and Richard Mergl III; and his sisters, Karen Smith of Wilmington, NC and Judy Metheny of Romney, WV.. He is also survived by eleven great grandchildren.
