He was predeceased by: his parents, Mary Gorsky Holepit Lako and John Lako, Sr.; and his siblings, Gizella Barko, Irene Burian, Cornella Kun Sparks, William, Bailey Lako, Joseph, Lewis, Robert, Edward and Steven Holepit.
He is survived by: his wife Sophie Growsky Lako; and his son John (Jean Marcouyeux) of Morgantown. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
