He was predeceased by: his wife Mary E. Hunt Brewer; his stepsons, Robert Lee Hunt and William'Bill'Hunt; his granddaughter Angel Gillespie; his mother Nellie Walls Brewer; and his pets, Oreo and Cocco.
He is survived by: his stepchildren, Jonathan Hunt, Brenda Gillespie (Kenny), Ronald Hunt (Sheena) and Larry Hunt.
