We bid farewell to Jeanne Smith of Morgantown, West Virginia, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on January 15, 2025 at the age of 70. Jeanne touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. She was predeceased by: her parents, Melvin Friend and Ruth Stansberry Friend; her husband Steve Smith; her daughter Jennifer Watson; and her brother Ronnie Friend.
She is survived by: her children, Kathy Bissett (Jerry), Troy Smith (Tiffany), Susan Woods (Mike) and Michael Smith; her grandchildren, Nicole, Jerry, Tyler, Joseph, Matthew, Jackson, Franklin, Maddie, Drew, Sam, Sadie, Katie, Olivia, Owen-Nehemiah, Tatanya, Jason, Caleb and Sammie; her great grandchildren, Andon, Novaela, Addy, Noah, Mia, Ally, Jolene, Elijah, Amon, Braleigh, Arabella, Dayton, Clayton and Daniel; her siblings, David Friend (Rachel), Deloris Vannoy (Ronnie) and Lana Cantoni (Ben); and her little dachshund Ruthie. She is also survived by nieces and nephews, many loving cousins, and many, many dear friends.
Visitation was held on Friday, January 17th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Saturday, January 18th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Covenant Global Methodist Church (802 Green Bag Road, Morgantown, WV 26501). A funeral service was held on Saturday, January 18th 2025 at 4:00 PM at the same location.
