He was predeceased by: his parents, Herbert L. McCord and Emma Gaye McCord; and his siblings, Marlena McCord Ponceroff and John McCord. He is survived by: his wife Linda McCord; his brother Herbert McCord; his sons, J. D. McCord of Cassville, James Lee McCord (Amy) of Good Hope and Mark Hermann (Cheryl) of Missoula, MT; and his grandchildren, Garland Mickey, Jamie (Andrew), Selby, Bailey (Avery), Michaela (Jamie), Tyler (McKenley "Mac"), Megan, Rachael, Mark, Jr. and Aaron. He is also survived by 10 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Monday, March 3rd 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Tuesday, March 4th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the McCulla Funeral Home (770 Fairmont Rd, Morgantown, WV 26501). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, March 4th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
