He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles B. Whisler and Lucy Shriver Whisler; his wife Irene Jean Williams Whisler; and his siblings, Howard Edward Whisler, Ralph Glenn Whisler and Mary Margaret Whisler.
He is survived by: his children, Cindy Whisler Jento and Ricky Charles Whisler (Karen); his grandchildren, John Kingsley Whisler, Katelyn Whisler Hanberry (Nick), Jerid Nicholas Jento (Cheyanne), Jesse Nicholas Jento (Kailey), Jeffrey Daniels Jento (Gabby) and Jordan Nicholas Jento (Leann); and his great grandchildren, Sutton Kingsley Hanberry, Henry Lincoln Hanberry and Jace Ray Jento.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to the Wounded Warriors Project, an organization he felt strongly about.
