It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gary Robert Friggens of Morgantown, West Virginia, born in Detroit, Michigan, who passed away on July 26, 2024, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. In the sacred silence of farewell, Gary Robert is released into the embrace of eternity, knowing that his light will continue to shine brightly in the tapestry of the lives of his loved ones. He was predeceased by: his parents, Francis G. Friggens and Jane Friggens (Pettit); and his wife Susan Jane Friggens (McClung). He is survived by: his sons, Brian J. Friggens of Morgantown and Jason R. Friggens of Morgantown; his granddaughters, Samantha P. and Abigail S. Friggens; his brother Thomas G. Friggens (Mary) of Marquette, Michigan; and his nephews, Christopher Friggens (Debra) of Grand Haven and Michael Friggens of Minneapolis, Minnesota..
It was Gary's desire that, in lieu of flowers, memorial donations be made to the West Virginia Botanic Garden, PMB #121, 714 Venture Drive, Morgantown, WV 26508-7306; Amedysis Hospice, 5006 Mid Atlantic Drive, Morgantown, WV 26508; or Avery United Methodist Church, 1152 Cheat Road, Morgantown, WV 26508.
