He is survived by: his girlfriend Julie Martinez-Aguilar; his girlfriend's son Luis Martinez-Aguilar II of Morgantown; his daughter Ashley Sotelo of Spain; his brother Norlan Melendez Carrillo (Chinandega) of El Viejo; and his nieces, Neslin Melendez (Cindy Melendez) and Chinandega. He is also survived by many loving aunts, uncles, and cousins.
