He is survived by: his wife Joan Sites Welch; his granddaughter Hannah Miles (Wayne); his great grandchild Elliott Myers-Shirer of Friendsville, MD; his nephews, William Welch (Sharon) of Ooltewah, TN, Robert Welch (Cindy) of Cumberland, MD and Richard Welch of Oakland, MD; his niece Paula Stark (Charles) of Oakland, MD.; his stepson Jason Bowen (Sandy); and his granddaughters, Trisha Smith Grafton (Brandon) and Bobbie.
