He was predeceased by: his parents, Seymour Welton Shockey and Nellie Mae Shoemaker Shockey; and his siblings, Benjamin Shockey, Roy Shockey, Dewey Shockey, Daniel Shockey, Jerry Shockey and Nancy Shockey Whetzel.
He is survived by: his wife Wanda Lee Crites; his sons, James Ray Shockey (Vera) and John Edward Shockey; and his siblings, Boyd Shockey and Alice Shockey Shingleton. He is also survived by ten grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.
A graveside service was held on Thursday, December 19th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the Bethel Cemetery (2801 Old Fields Rd, Old Fields, WV 26845).
