With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Leona George of Moorefield, West Virginia, who passed away on February 26, 2024 at the age of 83. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Grover James Hose and Myrtle Mary Wilson Hose; her husband Homer L. George, Sr.; and her siblings, Marshall, Johnny, John, Barbara, Karen and Myrtle.
She is survived by: her sister Betty Lou; her son Homer L. George, Jr. (Gloria) of Moorefield; her grandchildren, Kyle, Eathan (Brittany), Nick (Kyra) and Sabrina (Jason); her son Bruce George (Denise) of Petersburg; her grandchildren, Curtis (Chasity), Coty (Caysie), Erica and Ethan; her daughter Rebecca See (Gary) of Old Fields; her siblings, Harlan "Gene", Jake "Bobby" (Kitty), Grover "Andy" (Debbie), Penny Moton (Joseph "Jake") and JoAnn Dove (Dale); and her close friend Ruth Wilkins. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
