He was predeceased by: his parents, Floyd L. Mongold and Alma Hinkle Mongold. He is survived by: his close friend Hazel Simmons; his sons, Chester A. Mongold (Jeannette) and Tim of Moorefield, WV; his stepchildren, Sharon Parsons of Abbottsville, AL and Danny Barb of Lost River, WV; and his siblings, Janet Nelson of Cabins, WV, Mallie Combs of Moorefield, WV and Vernon "Hoss" Mongold of Moorefield, WV. He is also survived by several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
