He was predeceased by: his parents, Hoy Burnside and Evelyn Burnside (Crawford); his wife Joy Diane Cosner; his son Michael David Burnside; and his siblings, Hubert, Art, Dorla, Mary, Paul, Pauline, Lucille and Norm.
He is survived by: his children, Charles Edward Burnside (Lori), Debra Ann (Burnside) Senese (Edie Neville) and Brittany (Burnside) Freels (Brian); and his grandchildren, Alyssa Puffenbarger, Erin Burnside, Zachery Burnside, Dakota Clatterbuck, Hayley Neville, Hunter Neville, Dylan Senese, Hunter Mason and Elijah Freels. He is also survived by 11 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations are made in Dave's memory to the Elkins Church of the Brethren Women's Fellowship.
