He was predeceased by: his parents, Willard S. Johnston and Evangeline Mae White Johnston; and his daughter Melissa Carol. He is survived by: his wife Kathy Hedrick Johnston; his children, Amy Michelle Shahan of Montrose and Bryan O'Neil Johnston (Mandy) of Beverly; his siblings, Richard Johnston (Ruth) of Florida, David Johnston of Hambleton, Keith Johnston (Terry) of Elkins, Karl Johnston (Paula) of Montrose and Deborah L. Hedrick (Rick) of Montrose; his grandson Jayson Blaha of Montrose; and his pets, Allie and Garn. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
