We bid farewell to Miriam E. Thompson of Montrose, West Virginia, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on April 24, 2024 at the age of 99. Miriam touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. She was predeceased by: her parents, Frank Edward and Millie Nickerson Whelden; her husband Leon Thompson; her son Leon Earl Thompson; and her siblings, Inez Scott, Faith Hysaw, Frank and George Whelden.
She is survived by: her children, Millie Costello of Bybee, TN, Mary Calvert of Newburg, WV, Lois Bowles of Cape Cod, MA and Chesley Thompson of Maynard, MA; and her brother David Whelden of Dennis Port, MA.. She is also survived by her grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren and was voted World's Best Nana for sixty years.
