He was predeceased by: his parent French D.; and his sister Kittie J. Shaffer. He is survived by: his parent Vallie J. Arbough Vandevender; his spouse Emma R. Lambert; his son Carl L. Vandevender of Montrose; his stepson Odbert Allen Triplett of Littlerock, AK; his daughter Sherry Armstrong of Elkins; and his siblings, Herman R. Vandevender of Virginia Beach, VA, Bertie Adkins-Laderer of Barberton, OH and Carol M. Hudnall of Elkins.
