He was predeceased by: his parents, David Henry Backus Jr. and Lillian Mabel Backus (Ramsey). He is survived by: his pet Bonnie Ray; his siblings, Karen Conn (Frank), Barbara Waugh, Joyce Elliot (Frank) and Jimmy Backus; his children, Brechin Ann Backus "Bill", Shaina Marie Backus, Imagine Elizabeth Backus, Emily Abigal Backus, Christopher Norman Backus, Jeremy Norman Backus (Kaleena) and Seth Conner Backus; his uncles, Charles and Harland Backus; and his caregiver Kelly Cordle. He is also survived by several grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
