He was predeceased by: his brother Robert "Robbie" Hurt; and his grandfather Wallace Gene White. He is survived by: his parents, James Michael Hurt and Rebecca White Griffith of Montcalm; his children, Sydney Haynes, Alex Barnes and Annabelle George; his sister Kelly Adams (Matt); and his grandmother Mary Nell White. He is also survived by several nephews and a niece.
