He was predeceased by: his parents, Opie Drake and Delphia Drake (Nester); his daughter Linda Kurtz; and his siblings, Lola Walls, Jessie Accord, Quincy Drake, Bethel Drake and Maxwell Drake.
He is survived by: his granddaughter Lexi; his children, Eddie Avis, Melissa Drake-Plumley (Jarrell), Brenda Gish, Donna Wisdo, Nancy Scheller, Darlene Justice (Roy), Becky Jude (Mike) and Sharon White (Raymond); his sister Ann "Toots" Vickers; his grandchildren, Tom Miller (Cindy), Dylan, Kylee, Oather and Helen; and his close friends, Bill Waybright and Farron Doss. He is also survived by his loving wife of 53 years, his best friend, caretaker.
