Wilma Jenkins Obituary
Wilma L. (Mayle) Jenkins, age 77, a resident of Moatsville, WV, passed away on Tuesday, March 18, 2025, in Mon Health Medical Center of Morgantown, following a brief illness.
She was born on April 22, 1947, in Philippi, a daughter to the late Shirley Mayle and Angelene (Mayle) Mayle.
Wilma joined hands in marriage to the love of her life Russell F. Jenkins who preceded her in death in 2012.
Wilma leaves behind a daughter; Sayako Karla Jenkins of Philippi, granddaughter; Jaeda Maree Jenkins of Philippi, a grandson; Russell Lee Jenkins, several nieces and nephews.
She was the last surviving member of her family having been proceeded in death by; Wilford Mayle, Rex Mayle, Gloria Jean Newman, Judy Adams, Stoney Mayle, Rocky Mayle, and Woodrow Mayle.
Wilma was a Christian by faith, enjoyed reading her bible, enjoyed shopping, and Watching game shows as well as the news. Also, she loved spending time with her family. She retired from Senior Care as a homemaker. In this time of mourning, we invite all whose lives were touched by Wilma to join in honoring her memory and the beautiful legacy she leaves behind. May she rest in peace.
Family and friends may gather at the Kittle Family Funeral Home 265 Beech Ave., Philippi on Friday, March 21, 2025, from 11am until noon. A grave side and committal service will be conducted at 1pm at the West Virginia National Cemetery near Pruntytown with Pastor Joe Palmer officiating. She will be laid to rest by her soulmate Russell following the services. The Kittle Family Funeral Home 265 Beech Ave., Philippi is honored to be assisting the family with the arrangements.
