She is survived by: her children, Ron Root (Cathy) of Bluemont, VA, Loretta Roberts (Root) of Bridgeport, WV and Edwin Carte, Jr. of Moatsville, WV.; and her grandchildren, Nancy Botick (Paul) of Manassas, VA, Eric Root of Martinsburg, WV, Steven Berenik of Bridgeport, WV, Shirley Pratt (Denzil) of West Union, WV and Michelle Marple (Jake) of Buckhannon, WV.. She is also survived by 12 great-grandchildren, 21 great- great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
