Dora Virginia Reynolds Obituary
Dora Virginia Reynolds, age 72, a resident of Philippi, WV, passed away from this life on Wednesday December 7, 2022, in the United Hospital Center while under the care of WV hospice. She had been in declining health however her death was unexpected.
She was born on February 3, 1950, in Parkersburg, WV, a daughter to the late John T. Reynolds Sr., and the late Frone (Kennedy) Reynolds.
She is survived by her son; Cakie Reynolds, and wife Misty, one daughter; Daretha Reynolds; grandchildren; Tamara Reynolds, Chance Reynolds, Elijah Reynolds, Tyler Smithmyer, and Jacob Smithmyer; one brother; Stanley Reynolds Sr.; several nieces, nephews, including her special niece who was like her daughter, Frona Mayle.
Preceding her death are one daughter; Aretha Renee Reynolds; a granddaughter; Natalya Reynolds; three brothers; Denver Kennedy, Roy Kennedy, and John T. Reynolds Jr., two sisters; Eileen Flewellen, and Ann Annette Mayle.
Miss Reynolds was Methodist by faith and attended the Olive Hill Church. Dora loved her children, grandchildren, with her whole heart. She enjoyed watching TV, her favorite show was Judge Judy, loved to clean, cook, and sing while playing her keyboard. She watched birds, and the cars coming and going out of Chestnut Ridge. Dora was a wonderful lady, and was very trustworthy, she will be greatly missed by all those who knew and loved her.
Family and friends will be received at the Kittle Family Funeral Home 265 Beech Ave., Philippi on Saturday December 10, 2022, from 5 pm until 8:00 pm., and again on Sunday December 11, 2022, from 12 pm until 8 pm., and again on Monday December 12, 2022, from 8am to 11am. A funeral service will be conducted at 11 am from the funeral home chapel with Evangelist Ezik S. Norris officiating and interment will follow in the Welch Cemetery near Moatsville. The Kittle Family Funeral Home 265 Beech Ave., Philippi is honored to be assisting the family with the arrangements.
