Brenda Dalton Obituary
Brenda Jean Dalton, age 64, a resident of Moatsville, West Virginia departed this life on Sunday, April 7, 2024, at her home. With her family by her side. She had been in declining health however her death was sudden and unexpected. Brenda was a beloved wife, mother, sister, and grandmother.
She was born on April 17, 1959, in Philippi, West Virginia. A daughter to the late James R. "Uke" Dalton and Helen Marie (Shanabarger) Dalton. Brenda's departure from this world leaves behind a void that can never be filled, but her memory will forever remain etched in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
On July 10, 1982, she joined hands in marriage to William Thomas Mayle who survives at their home in Moatsville.
Brenda is survived by her beloved sons, Edward Dewayne Dalton Sr., and William Thomas Dalton and wife, Faith, grandchildren; Victoria Bennett, Edward Dewayne Dalton Jr., Destiny Dalton, Kiara Dalton, Kayla Dalton, and Angel Finley, brothers; John Dalton, and Jack Dalton, sisters; Julia Cutright, and husband Bill, Barbie Mayle, and husband Gene. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
Preceding her death beside her parents, was a granddaughter, Helen Rosalee Dalton.
Brenda earned her GED, she worked for Reiboard Brothers as a seamstress, before becoming disabled she attended Fred Eberle Tech Center in Buckhannon, earning her Commercial Drivers License. She started driving tractor and trailer for JB Hunt on long hauls with her husband William. She enjoyed knitting, her cats, and dogs, loved to swim at Galloway Beach near Arden. Brenda loved to watch TV, her favorite shows to watch were Gunsmoke and the Walking Dead. Also, she attended Ford Run Pentecostal Church until she became ill. She loved playing with her grandchildren, and spending time with her family. Brenda was a wonderful lady who is going to be missed by all those who knew and loved her.
Family and friends may gather at the Kittle Family Funeral Home 265 Beech Ave., Philippi, WV., on Tuesday, April 9, 2024, from 3:00 PM until 7:00 PM, when a funeral service will be conducted. Pastor Geneva Mayle will be the celebrant. According to Brenda's wishes her remains will be cremated.
