It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Edward E. S. Hurst of Mineral Wells, West Virginia, born in Lashmeet, West Virginia, who passed away on July 3, 2023, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Abney Hurst and Ella Mae Hurst; his former wives, Norma Tibbs Hurst and Maybell Kelley Hurst; his wife Nancy Kelley Hurst; his siblings, Larry Hurst, Polly Miller and Christine Shutt; and his granddaughter Leah Strickland.
He is survived by: his children, Janet Allio (Randy), Libbie Oliver, Jason Hurst and Daniel Hurst (Dawn); his brother Mickey Zane Hurst (Ilean); his grandchildren, Emily Strickland (Michael), Jeremy Allio (Rachel), Holly Correro, Amanda Delp (Casey), Justin McHale, Sara Smith and Ariella Oliver; his great grandchildren, Brett Strickland, Kristian Strickland, Isaac Allio, Vivian Allio, Danica Delp and Beau Delp; and his stepchildren, Debbie Workman (Dennis), Richard Workman (Natalie) and Billy Gilmore.
