He was predeceased by: his parents, Art Dalton and Sarah Doode Dalton; and his siblings, Tom Dalton, Jim Dalton, Phillip Dalton, Ben Dalton, Shirley Harron and Barbra Dalton.

He is survived by: his daughter Ellen Gibson (Carlton) of Sandstone; his grandsons, Austin Gibson and Gary Gibson; and his brother Christopher Dalton.
