With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Charles Penn of Minden, West Virginia, born in Covington, Virginia, who passed away on May 11, 2022 at the age of 90. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Hunn Penn and Mary Catherine Empy Penn; his siblings, Sylvester "Bubba", James "Mutt", Leonard "Piggy", David "TomBoy", William "Bill", Raymond "Jack", Gladys Redman "Whickey", Geraldine Martin and Betty Poindexter; and his sons, Charles "Ronnie" and Kenneth.
He is survived by: his wife Jacqueline Jones Penn; his children, Gary Penn, Charlene Penn, Shelia Penn Moore, Thomas Jones, Darla Jones, Sabrina Jones, Brittany Jones, Edward Norris, Elgin Patterson, Barbara Phelps, Beverly Ledford and William James English; his granddaughter Tyisha; and his siblings, Ronald "Skin" Penn of Beckley, WV, Donald "Mike" Penn of Philadelphia, PA and Charlotte "Lynn" Jackson. He is also survived by grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Friends while wearing mask and observing social distancing may visit with the family one hour prior to the service.
