He was predeceased by: his parents, James Riley and Cora Ruth Kirtley Carter. He is survived by: his wife Tammy Im Carter; his daughter Catherine Carter of Wilmington, NC; and his siblings, Jeffrey Ray Carter (Lola) of Milton and Regina Gail Fetty (Randy).
