He was predeceased by: his parents, Christopher Carrol Chenoweth and Opal Hunt White; his brother Robert; and his son-in-law Jennings "Jinky" Davis. He is survived by: his children, Carson "Buddy" Chenoweth (Jamie) of Millwood, Karen Davis (Kenny Carte) of Ravenswood and Kelly Teets (Mark) of Kingwood, WV; his grandchildren, Markie, Haley, Mattie, Corey, Colby and Matthew Carte; his great grandchildren, Crue and Haven; his brother Kellis White (Skip) of Indian Trail, NC; and his cousin Billie Leach of Morgantown, WV. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
