He is survived by: his wife Karen Currence; his children, Leslie Shiflett (Susie) of Beverly, Eric Shiflett of Raleigh, NC and Tammy Hinzman (Frank) of Mill Creek; his grandchildren, Alex Hinzman of Valley Bend and Hannah Shiflett of Beverly; and his siblings, Faye Wamsley (Don) of Valley Bend, Maxine Pingley (Charlie) of Elkins and David "Jake" Tackett (Robin) of Coalton. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, special sisters and brothers in law, and special friend.
