He is survived by: his wife Patricia Forrester Matthews of Toronto, OH; his children, Steve Matthews (Brenda) of Paden City and Crucita Kendle of Middlebourne; his brother Dewayne Matthews (Louise) of Elk Fork; his brother-in-law Charles Eddy of Sistersville; his grandchildren, Tony Kile (Brandi) of Middlebourne, Matthew Kile (Christy) of Middlebourne, Chad Kile of Middlebourne, Andrea Kureishy (Zaveen) of Wheeling, Leah Morris (Adam) of Milton, WV, Aaron Matthews (Vanessa) of Sistersville and Bridget Matthews of Paden City; and his nephew Shane Matthews (Lauren).
