It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Donald Densmer Henthorn of Middlebourne, West Virginia, born in New Martinsville, West Virginia, who passed away on May 8, 2023, at the age of 59, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Dale D. Henthorn and Beatrice Henthorn (Henry); his grandparents, Dan, Irene Henthorn (Fox) and Anna Holcraft (Henry); his sisters, Pansy Tharp and Elizabeth "Beth" McPherson; and his nieces, Kamelia Baker and Susie Tharp.

He is survived by: his children, Gaige Henthorn and Cassandra Otto (Matt) of Middlebourne, WV; his grandchildren, Jasper Bolen, Xander Otto, Zavian Otto and Silas Otto; his sisters, Naomi Baker (James) of Middlebourne, WV and Kay Weekley (Clyde) of Friendly, WV; his uncle Larry; his aunt Kim Henthorn of Middlebourne, WV; his brother-in-law Bill Tharp; his nephews, Travis Baker, Robert Masters (Jessie) and Bill Tharp (Judy); and his niece Ashley Hupp (Dillon). He is also survived by several aunts, uncles, cousins, great nieces and great nephews.

Memorial contributions may be made to Wetzel County Hopes and Memories or Journey Hospice.

Jim Johnson wrote a sympathy message

“I just recently met Don when my wife and I moved to West Virginia in January. We were his neighbors. He is a great guy and helped us move some gravel around our driveway when we first moved in. I really appreciated his friendly helpful attitude and will miss him. My wife and I wish our sincerest condolences to his wife and all his family members. Jim Johnson”
