He was predeceased by: his father George William Fitzwater; his wife Regina Brown Fitzwater; his children, Mark Fitzwater and Cynthia Williams; and his brothers, George William Jr. and Frederick Lee Fitzwater.

He is survived by: his sister Delphia Fitzwater.
