We are sad to announce that on February 12, 2025, at the age of 84, Floyd Andrew Gwinn of Meadow Bridge, West Virginia passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the sacred silence of farewell, Floyd Andrew is released into the embrace of eternity, knowing that his light will continue to shine brightly in the tapestry of the lives of his loved ones. And as his memory is carried forward, may comfort be found in the knowledge that love is eternal, and that Floyd Andrew's spirit lives on in the beauty that surrounds us.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Samuel Elmore Gwinn and Sylvia Charity Patterson Gwinn; and his siblings, Catherine and Franklin. He is survived by: his wife Sheila Bragg Gwinn; his sons, Timmy Gwinn (Beatrice) of Meadow Bridge and Bryan Gwinn (Terri) of Meadow Bridge; his stepchildren, Kevin Patterson (Angie) of Cavendish Rd and Lisa Johnson (Davie) of Meadow Bridge; and his sisters, Leva Boardwine of Meadow Bridge and Joleta Meadows of Elton. He is also survived by 3 grandchildren; 3 step grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; 8 step great grandchildren; 1 step great great grandchild; extended family.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, February 18th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Rainelle Chapel (283 Main St, Rainelle, WV 25962). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, February 18th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
