She was predeceased by: her parents, Leslie Kessler, and Margaret Gwinn Kessler, Sr.; her sisters, Marlene Kessler and Beverly Pennington; her parents-in-law, Enoch and Iva Cox; and her siblings-in-law, Hilda Bomar (Avery), Almeda McFall (Bill), Wanda Diehl (Edward), Midgie Mitchell (Mitch), Erica, Marsha Cox, Calvin Vandall, Dave Carlson, Orville Bragg, Leo Neel, Dick Milhollin and Jesse Pennington.
She is survived by: her husband Wayne Cox; her children, Alvin Cox (Joy) of Versailles, Andy Cox (Missy) of Beckwith, Mistie Richmond (Tracy) of Meadow Bridge, Eric Cox (Starlina) of Rupert and Jake Cox of Meadow Bridge; her siblings, Eddie Kessler (Debbie) of Elgood, Penny Miller (Herbie) of Forest Hill and Butch Kessler of Meadow Bridge; her grandchildren, Dustin Richmond (Laiken), Autumn Bowyer, Peyton Richmond (Halee), Clay Bowyer, Caleb Richmond (Shauna), Mylik Cox, Brayden Cox, Silas Adkins, Rena Cox, Skylar Cox, Wesley Cox, Ally Cox and Paisley Cox; her great grandchildren, Freya, Layah, Emma Richmond, Casen Richmond and Scarlet Bowyer; and her sisters, Geneva Vandall, Bettie Carlson, Lena Bragg, Norma Neel and Audra Milhollin. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that donations of sympathy in Brenda's name be made to the North Beckley Church of Christ for use at the Surprise Valley Youth Camp or Potters Children's Home, 3721 Robert C. Byrd Drive, Beckley, WV 25801.
