He is survived by: his wife Maria Obloj Herbut; his children, Annetta and Daniel Herbut; and his siblings, Andrzej Herbut (Agnieszka), Jerzy Herbut (Stanislawa), Boguslawa Wilusz (Stanislaw) and Malgorzata Wolanin (Janusz). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
