He was predeceased by: his parents, George Melko and Mary Melko (Kubalak); his wife Dolores Melko (Zelewicz); his son Jeffrey Scott Melko; his son-in-law Jerry Bower; and his mother-in-law Anna Zelewicz.
He is survived by: his children, Becky Bower of Wheeling, WV, Vicki Bondzeleske (Jim) of Columbus, OH, Judy Hays (Okey) of McMechen, Chuck Melko (Jeanette) of Bellaire, OH, Terri Schindler (Tony) of Pittsburgh, PA, Randy Melko (Diane) of Surfside Beach, SC, Cathy Mozena (Neal) of Moundsville, WV, Traci Melko of Pittsburgh and Kelly Melko-Johnson (John) of Morgantown, WV; and his daughter-in-law Monica Melko of Benwood. He is also survived by 24 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.
