He was predeceased by: his parents, Claude Harman and Bettie Harman (Bland); his wife Dorothy L. Harman (Smith); his daughter Joyce Harman; and his siblings, Charles Harman, Theodore "Budge" Harman, Tom Harman, Garland Harman, Isaac Newton Harman, Ruth Thomas, Chloe Smith, Edith Killen, Pauline Hall, Mayselle Zopfi, Nell Thorn and Tressie Harman.
He is survived by: his grandchildren, Kevin Mongold, Laramie Harman, Jonathan Mongold, Jenny Harman, Lindsey Porter (Western), Bethany Stump (Mongold), Casey Western, Miranda Mongold, Danielle Mayle (Ketterman), Micah Western, Jalyn Western and Ian Harman; and his sisters, Clemmie Courtney of Pawtucket, RI and Claudia Hope George of Maysville, WV..
