David James Burton Obituary
We are sad to announce that on June 1, 2023, at the age of 79, David James Burton of Maysville, West Virginia passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Rev. Calvin Sherman and Betty E. Burton (Endress); and his wife Twila Burton. He is survived by: his sons, David Burton, Jr. (Laura Goebel) of Howell, NJ, Mike Burton of Browns Mills, NJ, Morgan M. Basagic (Jessica) of Franklin, WV and Neil J. Basagic (Taylor Yokum) of Petersburg, WV; his siblings, Sharon Lilly (Lee) of Geneva, OH, Judy Boggess (Denver) of Farmington, WV and Phillip Burton (Rebecca) of Fairmont, WV; and his grandchildren, Danny Ryan, Bryce, Tinley and Sawyer Basagic. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Although Dave appreciated the beauty of flowers, his wishes as well as his family's, would be to make memorial contributions to his beloved Harmony Baptist Church, POB 205 Maysville, WV 26833 or to the Petersburg Lions Club c/o Roger Sites, 201 Central Ave Petersburg, WV 26847.
