He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Christian Berg and Ora Adaline Berg (Turner); his wife Genevia Berg (Rohrbaugh); his son-in-law Gerald VanMeter'; and his brothers, Leon "Bob" Berg, Vence Berg and Vernon "Buss" Berg.
He is survived by: his children, Roy Berg (Mary) of Maysville, WV and Shirley VanMeter of Petersburg, WV; his grandchildren, Marty Berg, Dee Ann Barger, Todd Snyder, Stacey Snyder and Kelly Snyder; his great grandchildren, Lucas Berg, Emma Berg, Tayeha Barger, Shalyn Barger, Jon Snyder, Parker Snyder, Nathan Snyder, Logan Wimer, Nicholas Wimer and Rebecca Snyder; and his sister Betty Smith of Harrisonburg, VA..
