He is survived by: his children, Tammy L. Breighner of Chattanooga, TN, Mary A. (Noah Carroll) of Stephens City, VA and Thomas L. Breighner Jr. (Lisa M.); his grandchildren, Blake and Brooke of Manassas, VA; his brothers, John D. Breighner, W. Va and Franklin L. Breighner of Mathias; and his former wife Thelma V. Wynkoop Breighner of Chantilly, VA.. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
