He was predeceased by: his parents, Russell C. May and Ada Wittig May; his siblings, Russell J. May and Inez Halterman; and his daughter Erin Jane May.
He is survived by: his sons, Lareth L. May of Timberville, Merrill L. May (Tammy) of Baker, WV and Terry J. May of Mathias; and his grandchildren, Derek May (Kaitlyn) of Elberon, VA, Paul Summers (Rachelle) and Brittany Yannielo. He is also survived by six great grandchildren.
