He was predeceased by: his parents, Ira Guy and Gladys Smith (Reedy); his wife Luretta Smith (Bailey); his daughter Carolyn Marie Barb; and his great grandchild Cory Cook.
He is survived by: his son Ronald E. Smith (Cindy) of Mathias, WV; and his siblings, Eddie Smith (Virginia) of Mt. Solon, VA, Billy Smith of Mathias, WV and Pauline Davis of Augusta, WV. He is also survived by 3 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
