She was predeceased by: her parents, Guy Franklin and Gladys Ketterman Dispanet; her husband Woodrow Wilson Shipe, Sr.; her son James E. Shipe; her siblings, Thelma Delawder, Lucille Strawderman, Minnie Kline, Shirley Hottinger, Joyce Strawderman and Guy Franklin Dispanet; and her children-in-law, Lloyd "Jim" Bland, Sandra Shipe and Roselynn Shipe.
She is survived by: her children, Woodrow W. Shipe, Jr. (Jackie Diane Harner), Timothy B. Shipe (Shayna) of Mathias, WV and Sheila L. Bland of Mathias, WV; her sister Bernice Miller (Willie) of Mathias, WV; and her daughter-in-law Donna Mae Shipe. She is also survived by five grandchildren; five great grandchildren.
