It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Velma Gentry (Matewan, West Virginia), who passed away on May 18, 2020, at the age of 71, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Arville Ward and Lucille Ward (Dye); her husband Grady Allen Gentry; her siblings, Russell Ward, Donald Ward, Thomas Ward and Helen McCurry; and her aunt Marie Phillips.
She is survived by: her cousins, Lula Copley of Red Jacket, WV and George Cox Sr. (Mary) of Red Jacket, WV; and her friend Chestine Akers (Danny) of Red Jacket, WV.. She is also survived by other cousins, neighbors and friends.
